The novel algorithm "Polygon Cut" in release 1.5 of Definiens Developer allows the straightforward implementation of annotations and manual measurements in interactive workflows

Load "Slide" and rule set "Cut Polygons and Lines", perform the preparation step and try out the two modes of action of the interactive algorithm "Polygon cut".

Polygon Mode
Upon execution, you are able to draw polygons which are on the fly analyzed on an individual map (convenient synthesis of interactive workflows and sequential map approach).

Line Mode
Upon execution, you are able to draw lines which enable you to do exact length measurements of distances and perimeters, yielding objects with a width of one pixel. Straight lines can be drawn by clicking on the startpoint and subsequently double-clicking on the endpoint. Curved lines can be drawn by holding down the left mouse button.
